Cookie Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ teaspoon almond extract
(optional but tastes so good!)
2 ¾ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 300

Preheat the oven to 300
DIRECTIONS
Combine butter and powdered sugar; beat until fluffy with an electric mixer. Approximately 2 mins.
Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
Sift together flour and salt in a separate bowl.
Slowly add the sifted flour mixture to the wet cookie dough.
Blend these ingredients until the flour is thoroughly mixed in. Don’t over mix!
Divide the dough into four balls and shape each into a rough rectangle ball.
Place the dough between two layers of plastic wrap and roll into ¼” thickness slab.
Chill the rolled dough (you can stack the plastic wrapped pieces) in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
Sift together flour and salt in a separate bowl.
Slowly add the sifted flour mixture to the wet cookie dough.
